SAN DIEGO - At The Headquarters near Seaport Village is a 25-foot decorated tree that USO San Diego hopes will make for a brighter holiday for young military families.
"In San Diego, we have one of the largest concentrations of active-duty military residents anywhere in the world," said Judy Forrester, the president and CEO of USO San Diego.
Now in its second year, the Giving Tree is a focal point to help young enlisted families.
"When my family moved out here from Norfolk, Virginia it was a culture and financial shock," said Lorraine Richards, a USO volunteer.
