San Diego’s growing collection of urban wineries are celebrating their craft over the next week, with special tastings Monday through Sunday.
There are over a dozen urban wineries in San Diego, buying grapes from the country and making wine in the city. The first Urban Wine Week is a celebration of the growing local industry.
Many of the wineries have special tastings throughout the week. Then on Thursday, the Headquarters at Seaport will host “Sip the City” from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The event will take place in the open-air courtyard, where attendees will sip wines from more than ten different San Diego urban wineries for just $10.
Guests will enjoy live entertainment, tastes from Venissimo Cheese and Dallmann Chocolates, and a photo booth set up inside the Headquarters’ historic jail cell block
Tickets are available at sdurbanwineries.com.
