Historic SDPD Station Nears Opening

"Retired police officers, ex-cons, judges and clerks would recognize the place if they squint really hard. Their old home north of Seaport Village, vacant since the San Diego Police Department headquarters moved in 1987, is in the final rush to reopen Nov. 18 as The Headquarters at Seaport District.

"This is the race to the finish," said Alex Liftis, Terramar Retail Centers senior vice president for development. The $65 million historic adaptive reuse by Terramar, also owner of Seaport Village, will include four restaurants and 18 shops on opening day with more expected in 2014..."
