We are excited to announce that today, March 6th, Eddie V's is officially open to the public! Downtown San Diego is lucky to have such a gem among them.
I was lucky enough to get a sneak peek of the restuarant and it did NOT disappoint. Eddie V's was formerly the courthouse inside the Old Police Headquarters and has now been transformed into a luxurious, fine dining experience. The interior is something out of a jazz inspired dream. In addition to the gorgeous dining rooms (there are 3) there are several private dining rooms, a two story wine tower and an area they call the V Lounge.
In the V Lounge there is live Jazz entertainment every night. On weeknights entertainment runs from 6 pm - 10 pm and on weekends from 7 pm - 11 pm.
And then of course there is the menu. The food! The glorious, glorious food.
We were able to try the wild mushroom and goat cheese salad, Georges Bank scallops, 22 oz USDA prime bone-in ribeye and banana's flambe' (best dessert of my life). All of it was delicious and impeccably prepared. Everything was heaven in our mouthes!
Lucky you, they open to the public today and you can check out their impressive dining rooms and menu for yourself.
They are only open for lunch and dinner and I would recommend making a reservation. Enjoy!
