Bayfront Shuttle Returns for Summer

May 22, 2015, UT San Diego

he Memorial Day weekend will mark the return of a now popular bayfront shuttle service downtown that delivers tourists and local to major attractions and hotels.

The Big Bay Shuttle, as it's known, was started by the Port of San Diego in 2012 as a trial project and has since become a permanent summer tradition.

Kicking off on Friday, the moderately priced service will run through Labor Day, which falls on Monday, Sept. 7.

Operated by Ace Parking, the service is priced at $3 for an all-day pass and traverses a loop from the Hilton San Diego Bayfront to the Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina, making a number of stops along the way.

Stops include:

• Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina

• Maritime Museum

• Broadway/Navy Piers

• USS Midway

• The Headquarters at Seaport (stop will be located in the turnout in front of the Headquarters along Harbor Drive)
