USO San Diego "Giving Tree"

Tree Lighting at The Headquarters Honors USO San Diego on Nov. 29

Ceremony Kicks Off Three-Week Donation Drive to Benefit Local Military Families

The Headquarters at Seaport District, the newly revitalized Old Police Headquarters, kicks off a three-week donation program for USO San Diego on Friday, November 29 at 6:30 p.m. with the lighting of the red, white and blue-decorated holiday tree. “The Giving Tree” lighting will take place in the open-air courtyard alongside USO San Diego officials and local military families, with performances by the color guard and children’s choir.

For the holiday donation program, a gift drop bin will be placed in front of The Giving Tree at The Headquarters to collect unwrapped toys and gift cards for children up to age 18. Monetary donations will also be accepted by USO San Diego volunteers. Donations will be accepted through noon on Christmas Eve and will benefit more than 1,000 active-duty military families served through USO San Diego.
